Article Introduction
The last issue recorded the basic details of WordPress website optimization
This issue records a plugin for article access statistics used in this blog
This plugin has not been updated for two years, but this article found that it can still be used. It can be used to record how many times an article has been visited after it was published
The data can be seen directly in the WordPress management backend, together with the article column, without having to check Google Analytics separately
WP-PostViews
Open the WordPress admin backend
Click Plugins on the left menu, then click Add plugin

Search for the keyword WP-PostViews
You can see the corresponding results in the figure below
Click install now, and after the installation is successful, click Activate

You can see that after activation, the plug-in is in the plug-in list
This plug-in has no setting options, and the function is default
The access data of the article will only be updated when visitors visit the blog website
The access data of the article will not be recorded when you read your own blog articles while logged in

Data Effect
Since the ai.dsx2016.com blog has no content updates for the time being
So check the background data of this blog website for demonstration
You can see that after installing the plug-in, there is an additional Views field in the article list field. This field counts the number of times the article is read by visitors

Tips
This plugin counts the number of article visits in real time
To test the effect, just visit the article link in the incognito mode of the browser
This plugin is just a demonstration. There are other similar and better plugins that can have many functions, such as displaying the number of visits on the article page and displaying data visualization charts in the management background. Please search for specific plugins by yourself
In theory, official crawlers are not counted
However, some gray crawlers that read blogs will be counted by the plugin. I have not tested it yet.
